The multi-media module makes it easy to integrate multimedia objects directly into your page content via the WYSIWYG editor. Alternative views, such as list, detail, and relationship views are also possible. And all without having to known any HTML! Just one click on "Insert multimedia object" is sufficient. Just select the multimedia object of your choosing and the corresponding file (e.g. Flash, sound, video, Java applets) is integrated.

Description of the multimedia module
The aim of the multimedia module is to make the embedding of multimedia objects in the CXL editor (WYSIWYG) as easy as adding static images. In addition, this module provides list, detail, and relationship views.
To embed a file (Flash, sound, video, Java applets, etc.) into the HTML, you just use the object tag (called embed in Netscape). The parameters are assigned by various parameter tags.
But the multimedia module means you don't need to worry about programming the HTML. The multimedia module allows editors without HTML knowledge or privileges to incorporate multimedia objects directly onto their sites from the administrative backend. The editor just clicks "Insert multimedia object" in the CMS and then selects the file from the object manager.
To make the use of the multimedia module even more convenient, multimedia objects can be uploaded as resources on the fly.
