The Task

  • Development and implementation of an Extranet for more than 1000 users in 720 partner companies.
  • Users should be able to obtain up-to-date information which are provided centrally.
  • In addition, they can also contribute content themselves.
  • Core is the detailed providing of thousands of documents containing information on products and services.
  • Providing information for different user groups (according to contract).
  • Labelling of information for different target groups (e.g. engineering, sales) with a colour code, setting of filters possible.
  • Integration of information from the Siemens VDO portal.
  • Workflow for access data and statement of confidentiality.
  • Integrated newsletter management with subscription, newsletter writing and mailing directly within the CMS.

The Solution with contentXXL

In addition to the already in the basic system available modules, the document module is also being used here.
The automatic search for keywords and the full-text search over different documents such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint and PDF, both available in the system (without additional programmes), help find information. A clear colour coding helps the user to quickly find the newest documents in different areas such as engineering or sales. A mail function enables the user to easily contact the author.

Another advantage is that partners do not have to install additional software for the administrators and editors.
