Leading Manufacturer and Supplier of Bio Fuels, VERBIO Vereinigte BioEnergie AG Relaunches Website with contentXXL CMS

“For analysts and shareholders, as well as journalists, it is important to always be provided with the latest company announcements without delay. But the remaining content on the website, especially with such a lively discussion topic like bio fuels, must be state of the art. Because the website comprises of diverse topics and is managed by different departments, , we required a simple to manage and easy to learn CMS with a hierarchical approval mechanism,” Maria Schneider, Investor Relations, VERBIO AG.

The VERBIO Group from Leipzig, a leading manufacturer and supplier of bio fuels, has relauched their website with the Business Content Management System (CMS) contentXXL. contentXXL solution partner, itCampus, also from Leipzig, completed the fresh and modernized website in four months. The site is now an ideal information platform for all target groups – individuals, customers, suppliers, investors, analysts, and press. The main features of the new website are target group oriented visitor navigation and an expanded search function with full text index, in addition to daily updated news, which is especially important for shareholders and journalists. In the back-end, for example, a workflow organiser and approval tracker allows for fast and problem-free publication of up-to-date content from different departments. A considerable decision criterion for VERBIO was the seamless integration of the CMS in the company’s existing Microsoft IT infrastructure. contentXXL had a decisive advantage here because of their Microsoft .NET based CMS.

As a young and modern business VERBIO would like to present this image in a modern and dynamic website. The objective is to reach each target group with the appropriate content. VERBIO decided to relauch their website with the Business Content Management System contentXXL and chose system vendor and contentXXL partner, itCampus GmbH to implement the website. A number of decisive factors played a role in choosing the CMS: the ability to target specific groups without much set-up effort, simple integration into the existing Microsoft IT environment, in addition to expandability, multiple languages, and the capacity to achieve a high degree of timeliness.

“For analysts and shareholders, as well as journalists, it is important to always be provided with the latest company announcements without delay,” explained Anna-Maria Schneider, Investor Relations, VERBIO AG. “But the remaining content on the website, especially with such a lively discussion topic like bio fuels, must be state of the art. Because the website comprises of diverse topics and is managed by different departments, , we required a simple to manage and easy to learn CMS with a hierarchical approval mechanism,” said Anna-Maria Schneider.

Support for the VERBIO web editors is provided by various standard features and elements of the CMS contentXXL. A news module offers the possibility to compile text contributions, manage and publish them on a schedule. Additionally, documents and other appropriate information, which are already available, appear with the click of a link as contextual information (content relationship management). This saves the website editor time because he has existing information to fall back on.

For visitors there is a full text search function, which, with an index server, automatically brings together content including all tagged documents and a complete text index – something that really eases the search process. The full text search can not only search topic specific but also through a full text index.

“Our new website makes it considerably easier for users to orient themselves, because the information is more targeted and accessible than before. Moreover, there is a clear reduction in the amount of work needed to manage the website for the company – an extremely positive situation for everyone,” said Anna-Maria Schneider.

For VERBIO it is clear that the collaboration in partnership with itCampus has a solid basis to steadily develop contentXXL and the website, as well as to adjust to the changing needs of Internet users.
