To refresh their previously static Internet presence of the company which was founded in 1990, Wilhelm+Zeller decided to relaunch the website http://www.wz.ag/ in collaboration with mmp GmbH and using the Business Content Management System provided by contentXXL International GmbH.
Wilhelm+Zeller AG develop individual solutions for their customers on top of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (previously known as Microsoft Business Solution Navision). The objective of Wilhelm+Zeller AG is to provide their customers with optimal tools to successfully manage their businesses. The industry orientation of their customers includes the areas food retail, the mineral oil trade, and breweries. For each of these areas, certified industry-specific solutions were developed. The deep know-how of Wilhelm+Zeller AG should now also be reflected in the company website, which is why the company decided to relaunch the website using the 100% Microsoft .NET technology-based content management system contentXXL provided by contentXXL International GmbH. The Decision for contentXXL and mmp
Decisive to the decision in favor of contentXXL was especially the fact that contentXXL is 100%.based on .NET technology which allowed for seamless integration into the existing IT landscape of Wilhelm+Zeller AG. “In addition, there was the great cost-benefit ratio of contentXXL in comparison to similar other systems. A wide range of important features, such as a newsletter application, a WYSIWYG-editor and full-text search are already integrated into the basic edition of contentXXL”, Arif-Andreas Islam, Managing Director at mmp GmbH the company selected by Wilhelm+Zeller AG, explains. As the chosen partner for the project implementation, mmp GmbH was fully qualified as a result of their proven experience in this domain and their seasoned handling of contentXXL. The contentXXL solution partner also could boast numerous successful reference projects.
The Realization of the Website
The realization of the website was achieved within a very short period. After the development of a new design and prototype the website implementation took place within 14 days, including the migration and adaptation of the existing content of the old site.
The new website was constructed with the standard modules of contentXXL. The WYSIWYG-Editor allows the website content editors to maintain their content directly in the browser without any knowledge of HTML.
This significantly reduces outlay for training of staff and therefore saves both time and reduces costs. On top of that, free-text search, the newsletter module, and the news module were used. Based on the Content Relationship Management the different pieces of content were connected, adding to efficient utilization of resources. Connecting the training schedule on the website with the Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP system was also easily done which again provided great testimony to the adjustability of contentXXL to the IT infrastructure in the company as a result of .NET technology.
