The components of Nuremberg media agency portamundi's Web sites were not as reusable as the company would have liked, because of the limitations of classic ASP. After considering J2EE and ruling it out because of J2EE's high complexity and slow performance, portamundi designed and implemented its contentXXL system with Microsoft ASP.NET, Visual Basic .NET, and SQL Server 2000. The ambitious new system came to market in under two years.
