Nörr Stiefenhofer Lutz, an internationally active partnership of lawyers, tax consultants and accountants, deploys the contentXXL Content Management System, based 100% on Microsoft .NET technology, when it comes to handling the company's online communication measures. After successful relaunch of the company's website, it is now relaunching its Intranet.
Nörr Stiefenhofer Lutz with its headquarters in Munich is an international partnership of attorneys, tax advisors and auditors.More than 350 professionals in 12 locations in Europe and the USA advise companies, financial institutions, wealthy individuals and public sector entities in all areas of commercial law.
The partnership has had a very positive experience in using ASP.NET CMS contentXXL for the company website.The fact that contentXXL is 100% based on Microsoft .NET technology and can be so easily integrated into the company's IT infrastructure was an unbeatable argument for its use.In addition to the ease of use of the Content Management system via the standard integrated WYSIWIG editor, the fact that Cost of Ownership (TCO) was low was also an advantage.The Nörr, Stiefenhofer and Lutz intranet and internet sites needed to be built on the same CMS platform in order to draw on their synergies.For this reason the intranet is now also built with contentXXL.
The internet design was created by external suppliers and transferred to the intranet, while the Marketing department of the Nörr Stiefenhofer Lutz partnership updated existing contents or created new contents.
The intranet site requirements for CMS were more extensive. contentXXL had to integrate existing intranet applications and adopt the security model and groups from the existing Active Directory. While the older intranet applications could be easily added thanks to the .NET technology, the contentXXL Premium Module Active Directory Connector was used to connect the Active Directories.Since the contents of the intranet site were to be updated by many different employees in the office, the WYSIWYG editor proved to be very advantageous.The standard integrated contentXXL module makes it possible for the partnership employees to maintain contents directly in the browser using a very differentiated rights and roles concepts and without the need for HTML skills.This removes the need for expensive employee HTML training.Employees easily find their way after a short introduction to the user interface.
The intranet layout should be similar to the internet site layout and was created by contentXXL solutions partner Xparo.Finally the intranet site was installed and configured by Xparo within the shortest possible timeframe so that the partnership’s IT department was able to independently complete the project.
