MIBAG was founded in 1994 and in just over 10 years has grown to 800 employees, who now service1200 buildings and 3.000.000m² of managed grounds. MIBAG covers the gamut of services for structures in the commercial, technical and infrastructural fields. To better communicate the company’s constant development and unique service benefits online, MIBAG decided to replace its existing website, designed in 2002, with a new and more representative business portal by using a modern content management system from contentXXL.
Project requirements
There were a multitude of requirements for this project. The new website needed to offer a complete, well designed and understandable description of MIBAG’s product range and solutions not only in text but through aesthetics as well. The greatest challenge was to design the website according to MIBAG’s corporate design specifications to ensure the company’s online image would match its professional image in the field. The result is a clearly defined company persona that customers will recognize and trust. In addition, MIBAG emphasized the need for an extremely user-friendly interface. With the new website visitors can easily orientate themselves and quickly find their desired information on the website. The content management system is uncomplicated to use for the MIBAG employees as well, requiring no complex training. Moreover, the website provides different language interfaces to cater to all MIBAG customers not just in Switzerland but also internationally.
The decision for contentXXL and Chili Solutions GmbH
In order to fulfil the stringent requirements for content management due to the different languages supported by the website, MIBAG chose contentXXL’s ASP.NET CMS. The system is 100% based on Microsoft’s .NET technology and integrated seamlessly into MIBAG’S IT infrastructure. Another important point was contentXXL’s simple interface editors as well as for the administrators. The integrated WYSIWYG editor allows MIBAG employees to keep web content up to date at all times without having to know the HTML format. Furthermore, contentXXL is especially suited for international use. contentXXL’s solution partner Chili Solutions GmbH from Switzerland was entrusted with the installation of the company portal. Chili Solutions GmbH’s distinctive know-how and a multitude of successful reference projects in this area, is clearly represented in the company’s successful completion of MIBAG’s intuitive website.
Completion of the website
The technical aspect of the website was carried out within a few weeks in compliance with the web structure specifications outlined by MIBAG . "We are proud that we were able to complete this project in such a short period of time,” said Patrick Walgis, project leader at Chili Solutions GmbH. “It was a great project, completed in record time thanks to excellent collaboration with contentXXL and Chili’s long standing expertise in web management. contentXXL’s technical support team has continued to go above and beyond, even now after the recent launch. On the part of the CMS no problems occurred that would have jeopardized the project. In fact it made our work more efficient. Our work with the CMS came as a huge relief to Chili as we have, in the past, had very unfortunate experiences with other products.”
