contentXXL consists of a unified framework and different modules which realise specific functionalities. This component approach makes not only a simple integration possible, but also guarantees an individual upgrade with additional modules. The framework ensures the integrity of the entire system due to:

  • Registration of the modules used
  • Administration of sites, modules and objects
  • Placing of modules via drag & drop
  • Allocation of templates
  • Access rights to objects
  • Administration of users and roles
  • Authentication
  • Defined process for publication and modification
  • Versionising
  • Protocols and statistics
  • Linking related objects
  • Full-text search on object level
  • Page Fragment Caching
  • HTTP compression

The data are filed in SQL Server 2000 / MSDE or in the file system and the index server looks for keywords automatically. The data can be accessed over the.NET framework via SQL (ADO.NET), SQLXM and XML (web services). You can add as many ASP.NET modules as you want into the contentXXL framework. The functionality of these modules can be made available to a browser, mobile devices or other services.
